It’s NAMI Walk Time!

Save the date now for the NAMI Walk. The Walk is an annual event to raise funds for our programs and to raise awareness about the needs of mental health care in Colorado. NAMI Colorado will host the Walk on Sat, May 16, 9am-1pm, at the beautiful Centennial Center Park, 13050 E. Peakview Ave, Centennial, CO 80112. We anticipate having over 1500 people who will enjoy music, food, kid’s activities, a dog costume contest, and lots of display tables. This event is fun for the entire family. There is no cost to participate but each walker is encouraged to raise funds to support NAMI. Not a walker, not a problem! You can be a virtual Walker and collect supporting donations from friends and family. Or, you have the opportunity to support our team, the NAMI Arapahoe/Douglas Advocates. Donating is fast and easy at http://namiwalks.nami.org/namiadco2015. Remember, all of our classes and programs are offered at no cost to participants. The money for these programs has to come from somewhere! The NAMI Walk is how we do it. Watch for more information in the next few weeks for ways that you can help support NAMI. Have questions? Please contact our Walk captain, Donna Parisi, at donnaparisi@comcast.net.
